As a key member of the team, I worked on the design of ADAM (advanced document archiving management). This platform lets organisations and government agencies digitise documents and provides artificial intelligence for document enquiry and data extraction.

During our research with government agencies for Eyemark we found a couple of interesting things.

During our research with government agencies for Eyemark we found a couple of interesting things.

Government agencies, judiciary, and various institutions still rely heavily on paper documents, leading to significant inefficiencies and resource wastage. Productivity in an organisation largely depends on individual contribution. Currently, there's a productivity gap in most Nigerian organisations, especially government agencies, this gap is largely due to improper document management, lack of efficient collaborative tools, and outdated workflows.

We create an advanced document archiving management(ADAM) system that digitises and stores these paper documents securely while leveraging Al-powered chat functionality for streamlined retrieval and interaction with the extensive document logs.

The design

WHat did we design?

We decided to take the folder system approach that they would use on their mobile phones and laptops. Something really easy to use.

Our persona of older people as users will find it easier to use this system as they will find it familiar as it is used on their mobile phone and PC Windows folder system. They can format, arrange, search, upload and manage access to folders and documents. We also made sure our experience accounted for storage management, which would be best for the administrative process

After several iteration we created a design that was focused on giving specific results that were intuitive. For the Documentation we had to take note of the how content is structured form H1 to H2 to Body as this would inform the the hierarchy of results, this also pushed for segmentation of the various type of content. For the community We had to carefully design the content to be less overwhelming by hiding unnecessary information and curating result and context
